Introduced on March 1, 1999 the ProCurve Routing Switch 9300m Series was brought to market as a cutting edge advanced traditional core solution delivering enterprise-class high-performance, high-density, secure and multilayer switching/routing. The 9300m Series has been a mainstay for ProCurve and has served customers well over the course of the last 8 years. Since the introduction of the 9300m Series, ProCurve has successfully launched the new ProCurve Switch 8212zl and the ProVision ASIC-based ProCurve 5400 chassis/3500 stackable families, which offer high performance and advanced features in very cost-effective platforms offerings. Due to the relative age of the 9300m and the introduction of these and other newer platform solutions, ProCurve Networking ended the sale of the 9300m Series chassis 9315m/9308m/9304m on May 1, 2008.
The recommended replacement product for the ProCurve Routing Switch 9300m Series is the ProCurve Switch 8212zl Series which delivers high-availability and performance features, is designed to reduce complexity and lower operational costs, and features ProCurve's industry leading lifetime warranty. It combines high performance with comprehensive networking and security features in a highly scalable modular chassis solution. It provides platform and software high-availability features that enhance system reliability and ensure network continuity.
