Secure Content and Threat Management

Security applications defend against viruses, spyware, spam, hackers and network intrusions. The network security sub segment of Secure Content and Threat Management applications comprise the main focus for ProCurve and our ProCurve ONE alliance partners. These include enterprise firewall/VPN products, wired and wireless network intrusion and prevention products, messaging security, and web security.

ProCurve and our Partners also play in the user provisioning sub segment of identity and access management. We specifically focus on network critical areas such as RADIUS authentication, endpoint admission requirements, and network access policy. HP ProCurve provides the interfaces to tie alerts and log information from our products in to your overall security management framework.

The HP ProCurve Threat Management Services (TMS) zl Module is a multifunction security system for the HP ProCurve Switch 5400zl and Switch 8212zl Series. It is comprised of a stateful firewall, intrusion detection/prevention system (IDS/IPS), and virtual private network (VPN) concentrator. It enables network administrators to compartmentalize department traffic, protect the network from malware, and provide secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity.
